The only way I will love you

After getting the Wii for Christmas and playing for hours with cousins at Holly's house, Kyler has a new outlook on life. On the way home from the gym last night he was asking if he could play the Wii when he got home. We explained that it was past his bedtime and that he would have to wait til the next day. Kim and I then held hands as we talked while driving home. A few minutes later we heard a sweet little inquiring voice from the back seat of the van.

Kyler: "Mommy? Did you fall in love with Daddy?"

Mom: "Uh huh."

Kyler: "And then you married Daddy and love him forever?"

Mom: "Uh huh." Mommy and Daddy then look at each other and simply enjoy the sweet moment of Kyler understanding how love works.

Kyler: in a very sweet little voice, "Well........the only way I will love you forever is if you let me play the Wii when we get home."

Daddy could only laugh and Kyler could only furrow his eyebrows as Mommy and Daddy told him how much they loved him.

getting silly
Silly

really silly

and just ridiculous!
I was trying to take a few cute pictures of the kids for Christmas cards and most of them ended up just like these. What a night mare. I love this last one with Gavin touching his nose. It makes me laugh.

Logan's Kindergarten Christmas Program/ Party

Kyler and Logan making their gingerbread houses.

I was trying to take pictures and hold a wiggily Gavin so the pictures turned out a bit blury.

Logan loses his first tooth

Logan's adult teeth were starting to come in before his baby teeth were falling out so we had to take matters into our own hands. Mike did the tie a knot around his tooth and another knot around an open door and then slam the door shut tactic. It actually worked. There was no tears, screams, only giggles of excitement that he had actually lost his first tooth!

This is Gavin in his cute Sunday outfit before going to church. His hair has grown back in and is curlier then ever.

Hair cut

So after I got my hair stuck in honey, syrup, and underneather a yoga ball, all with in a couple of days, I decided that it was time to do a trim. I chopped off 13 in. of my hair all in the comforts of my own home and donated it to Locks of Love. I had Logan take the picture of my long hair. He did pretty good other then the fact that I told him not to get my behind and it ended up in all 3 pictures that he took.

Fall Time in Virginia

Autumn and Spring our my favorite seasons in Virgina. The trees are absolutely beautiful! I caught this picture a day or two to late to get all of the trees in their fullness but if you look on theright our house is the one with the first big red tree. We have raked, rather blown, huge piles of leaves twice and the trees still have lots of leaves to drop.

Kyler's Birthday - belated blog

Kyler turned 4 back in July and had wanted really spikey hair for his party at the park. We took this picture before friends showed up. Kyler and Logan are such different personalities but don't know what to do without the other one. Gavin is starting to be a part of their little buddy system but does a little more wandering and getting into things......like Dad's scuba gear. Very stinkin cute.

Neville Family Reunion 2008

I'm finally getting around to updating the blog with our family's happenings this summer. I do intend for this to be more than a semi-anual event. Our summer started with the Neville Family Reunion; attended by only 5 Neville's.......Mike, Kim, Logan, Kyler, and Gavin. After 2 years of being ready to go and then being cancelled, we decided that we were going no matter what. We wish you all could have made it with us so here is what you missed.

We started by stopping by Hershey World in Hershey Pennsylvania where the guy taking the picture clearly didn't care that we were even looking at him. We had a great time seing how chocolate was made and the kids really enjoyed a 3-D movie about Hershey. Connie may have had issues leaving the place without buying the 25lb Hershey Bar. It's huge!

Next, we stopped by the Susquehanna River and the priesthood restoration site and first homesite of Joseph and Emma Smith. We got there just at dusk which added to the spirit as we realized we were standing where the prophet had once lived. Then we made our way down to the bend in the river where Joseph and Oliver were baptized and the Priesthood was restored. It was amazingly peaceful and full of the spirit as the boys just played by the side of the river and Kim and I talked about what it must have been like to have been there.

The next day we made it to Fayette (Peter Whitmer home where first church meeting was held) and Palmyra and joined the throngs of members gathering for the final performance of the Pageant. Even though it was really hot and humid, it was really cool to actually see the Smith Log Home and just wander around the Sacred Grove. The Pageant was super impressive. We topped it off with a visit to Niagara Falls where we braved the boat ride right into the falls. It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it again when the boys get older.

It was a long day for the boys, as seen on Logan's face, but they were troopers.
